I have a huge sweet tooth, and luckily there are plenty of lovely dessert spots in Miami to help me satisfy my sweet cravings! Here are my favorites ($ to $$$$ cost)
My Favorite Dessert Spots in Miami
Salty Donut (Wynwood, South Miami) $$- I’m honestly not a huge donut fan, but I love the donuts Salty Donut! The flavors are incredibly unique, and they always offer a gluten-free and vegan option (often which are the most interesting flavors!) I’ve seen health fanatics who will only choose to splurge on Salty Donut as their unhealthy treat for the week, and I can totally see why! Totally worth the price.
Fireman Derek’s (Wynwood) $$- best pies around (salty monkey is my favorite- Chocolate, banana peanut butter and pretzels)! They give you free homemade whipped cream on top if you ask for it!) I think my smile in the picture below says it all.
Azucar (Little Havana and in Time Out Market in Miami Beach) $$- I’ve tried many flavors here, and nothing beats the abuela maria ice cream! I’m not a huge guava and cheese fan, but in ice cream form it is absolutely divine!
Madlab Creamery (Design District) $$$- a kids fantasy! You can add toppings like rice krispies treat, edible glitter, and cotton candy. The seasonal ice cream flavors are made with local ingredients, which I am totally a fan of!
Morelia Paletas (Wynwood, Coral Gables) $$- Paletas are what Latinxs call popsicles, and they can be found around Miami, and are so refreshing in the Miami heat! My favorite version that I have had is from Morelia Paletas and has condensed milk inside, and dipped in milk chocolate, as shown in the picture below
